Wimberley Valley Art League Best of Show

I was so honored that my painting titled 626… receive best of show at the Wimberley Valley Art League Juried art show this past May. The painting is dear to me because it is a reflection of an area of our garden that I designed to allow my family and myself to sit and enjoy the garden, socialize, and eat with our friends and neighbors that pass by our home each day. It truly connects us to the world around us. It was placed together when our 6th baby was born and it allowed me to hold my baby outside while our younger children played. I planted bananas around the limestone rock table to shade the area in the hottest of days. Over the years we have used the food that we have grown in the gardens around this special space for outdoor cooking to feed ourselves and our guest.
