Hello I am Tamia Jacques, a wife, mother to 6, founder, and artist of Sustainable 626, located in the Texas Hill Country.

Sustainable 626 is a view into my family’s day to day life. Our family started out with a suburban grass lot, with a home, in the city center. Over time, with perseverance and patience I was able to turn my family home into a sustainable homestead that raises poultry and produces daily nourishment for my family, from eggs, fruits, vegetables, nuts, herbal and medicinal teas, to mushrooms and flowers for floral arrangements.

All the pictures presented throughout this site are from our home. Our children are homeschooled and they have helped to take care of our animals, cultivate the land, and give design input.

All of the artwork, jewelry, pottery, and floral arrangements are all originals. My artwork is inspired by my journey through this project from barrenness to ongoing sustainability, life, and light-filled beauty.

My paintings reflect the surroundings around me where I have influenced, from our garden to my morning swims in our local river. Other artwork include items that have been saved, reused and combined with high quality artisan pieces that is an assemblage.

Each painting or piece of pottery is available for purchase or loan.

My aim is to leave the world a better place by bringing holistic and well living spaces through art, sustainability and homesteading practices to communities, businesses, and individuals.

I would like to help you achieve your goals of sustainable homesteading / farming / gardening or finding and designing an esthetically beautiful and a truly functional space.
